The Worst

Hit a 40 at Legends before work today. Bob cancelled on me because of a late night watching his son play baseball. I am so glad Nicholas' games don't go much past 8 PM. The course was wide open with only the regulars there. Dark skies will do that. Nice to not even have the grounds crew on the course.

I failed to bring my putting game. Every long put was 4' wide. The few I did manage to buckle down on were off by 4". Sheesh. I know I don't know how to read a green but really I would be better off if I just aimed at the stick and hole.

The big freakin' arc to the left was there with a vengence. Frustrating. On the last hole I did try relaxing my left hand and that seemed to work well enough to keep me from leaving my bag and everything on the course and walking away into the sunrise. I mean really relaxing my hand. I choke the birdy hard and then choke it some more because I am trying to keep my left thumb from ending up at the 3 o'clock position. Hard to tell on a hole where I used a PW but I did manage to drop one on the green straight. That was preceeded by a shot to the right (last weeks pin placement) and a shot to the left. Who knows if it was actually the grip change that did anything or if it was just the fact that I should be able to dial a shot in with a PW by the 3rd shot.
