Yesterday at the driving range I said I hit my 8i and 5i goodish. I think I started to get my hands and thumbs right. I put that into practice last night as the kids and I were hitting wiffle golf balls around the front yard after ice cream. But that was with wiffle golf balls and my old iron set. Those things lead to bad swings and bad lawn spots.
Today was driving range Thursday. Jason and Mike joined me today. I hit the LW, PW, 9i, 7i, 5i, H25, H16, 5W and 3W for a mediums sized bucket. The 9i seemed to be 120+. The 7i was nearly 150 and the 5i was nearly 175. I hit pretty close to but infront of the markers. Best of all the 7i and 5i went reasonably straight and pretty far. With my old iron set. Did you hear me? I said REASONABLY STRAIGHT and REASONABLY FAR.
