a rare Sunday

A rare Sunday round with Darin this morning. I met him at Legends at 6:45 this morning when he got off work. It was sunny but a little chilly. Only one other person on the course which isn't bad considering the course didn't open for another hour and fifteen. Just the crew picking up balls and mowing the driving range.

We didn't keep score but I hit a 33. This is maybe Darin's third round in two years. He and I hit the driving range once earlier this Spring. We had a nice leisurely 2 hour round. No reason to rush. Darin had a Tuttle putter from GoodWill that I tried on one hole. I liked it but unfortunately Darin was dialing it in. My putting was pretty good too. No reason to change except for change itself. I tried a couple of times to bid on a Tuttle on EBAY and didn't win.

I didn't really get a chance to try out the irons. It was mostly gap wedge work or even lob wedge. Maybe I will hit the driving range at lunch this week. Based on no evidence I am convinced in my mind that the regular steel shaft are not what I want.
