No Bob again today. He had a call at 7 AM. Started getting hot & humid toward the end of the 9 holes. Of course because the company picnic with volleyball is today. Never fails.
The usual highs and lows with adjusting to the new grip. I put three or four balls off to the right on three before I finally got one straight. To the right is a novelty for me. Got some measured distances for my stats. Right now it looks like my GW is bigger and my PW is smaller. Too early to say if that is real or not. I am not sure why I am asking the GW to go 120.
Putting was on the lacking side. I had a couple of nice close ones and several horrible close ones. It isn't like I really have to read the greens.
Chipping was nice. Nice and close. I really like the Face Forward F2 lob wedge. Even hit the pin from about 15', close enough to the bottom of the flag stick to wonder if it would have gone in if I had pulled the flag. Maybe I'll start doing that. Back to putting - I wonder how much my putting is influenced by leaving the flag in and is that in the positive or negative direction or is it a push?
I have a lesson this afternoon. Maybe I will drag out the 7i and the 5i for it and perhaps steal a few minutes on putting. Will that be my third outfit for the day?
