Brad, Tim, and I played the course at Farmer City. It is a country club that has certain hours it is open to the public. Fall has even more hours. Brad had coupons so I didn't pay to play or for the cart. This is a 9 hole course that uses different tee boxes for the back 9 to make 18 holes.
The tee boxes were redone sometime in the past year so we played from alternative spots. Sometimes you ended up on uneven ground for teeing. the fairways had a rough summer. A bit weedy but it is the middle of October after all. The people were real nice. No one pushed us.
The course itself was a bit on the short side but still fun. We had some fun trying to find the tee boxes we were supposed to use. The course had some up and down and course architectural interest. Hitting out of the hole up was interesting. It worked once so we didn't push our luck.
I would definately play there again. The bloodymary that jiggled around in my cart was excellent. We had another bloodymary and more cigars after our round. I could have stayed there drinking all afternoon.
