Hit the golf store today for new cleats and a new grip at lunch. Plus I always check out what is in the used rack. Found out the Mashie Fairway wood isnt due out until the new year. That is for the best otherwise I would have ordered one for maybe one or two more rounds this year. But the Cleveland Black is a November treat I think. I'm kind of excited about that driver though 46" is just crazy. Maybe I should just get my burner reshafted as I may have cut it down a bit short. I guess I could get an extender.
I regripped the PW with a Golf Pride Tour Velvet something or other that was a bit bigger grip. I don't like the feel of the Winn grips (W5?) when they get dirty. And they do when I am wiping dirt off after hitting nearly every shot fat. They are nice and tacky when they are clean. They were just put on last month. Plus with these I lined the GOLF PRIDE logo up with where I should hold the club. Now I have the guide back. My glove gets dirty too. I will have to figure out how to clean the grips and even the glove.
The other exciting thing I did was remove the cleats and replace them. I had to soak the old cleats in water for an hour or so to break up the mud holding them stuck in my shoe. I really wanted to play a round with new cleats to see how they feel in the morning.
