A couple of us hit the driving range at lunch today for driving range Thursday. Due to car troubles I got a ride to work and only brought my 5 iron. I hit it pretty well, of course, on the driving range. Why doesn't that translate to the course?
I am hitting the ball fat much of the time with most clubs. I think it is because I have the ball in one place in my stance and aim the club at a spot several inches back from the ball. I need to go for the back edge of the ball.
Tried several other clubs the guys brought. Couple of woods I like. Nothing earth shattering. I do have my heart set on the new cleveland fairway woods. I may get the 7 wood 20* with the 39" shaft. Sounds heavenly and will get right in line with my 23* mashie and 27* 5 iron.
