Driving range at lunch

Hit a medium bucket at the driving range. It was too hot for my fleece jacket and the pullover I keep in my bag but too cool for short sleeves. Nice problem to have at the end of October. I went on the golf school side of things. There was one person on my side and antoher on the other side. As I left another person came out. Where are all the golfers? This is the perfect time of year for this sport.

Started with the PW for a large portion of the bucket. Only a couple were fat and only a couple were short or left. Shots seemed to go relatively straight out there relatively far but I didn't see the backspin I saw on one of the previous days. Maybe they were going out too far or I was hitting them at an angle to practice aiming.

Switched it up to the 8i-37* club. Those too went mostly straight and pretty far. Struggled a bit finding a comfortable distance for the ball, club, my hands, and my body. It was nice to actually be able to see a distance difference between those two clubs. I think I need to switch the grip on the 8i or 7i to the same tour velvet I have on the PW-45* to see if I like that.

With about 30 balls (of 70) left I switched to the 7i. While it was a whole lot better than before I could tell I was tired. Hurred through the 10 balls for that club and switched to the 5W. First 5W shot was a nice one and then the rest fell apart going left, right, short, and into the ground.

To finish off the bucket I hit the last 10 balls with the driver. Some of those went really far. Wish I had the actual distance. Might have been near 200 yards. I am thinking maybe I took too much off the club when I cut it down. I also wonder why I end up off balance swinging this club.

Can't be too many of these days left.
