Left work early today and played 9 holes at Legends before going home. We leave for TN on Sunday and Saturday will be busy with getting ready. So why not?
The place was pretty busy. Seemed to be full of young frat boys. Jeff was in his spot giving a lesson. A twosome headed out before me walking. After I finished on the first hole the second hole was open. The twosome was over on hole 8. Kind of hard to get lost on this course so they must have done this on purpose.
I caught up to another twosome by hole 4. They were slow and there were people ahead of them. I got to know their backsides quite well. One was an older man in black socks and golf shoes. Must have been in his eighties. Had a short but fast old man swing. I found myself thinking that I want to make sure I have a bigger range of motion at his age. I hope I did a good job of staying back and not pressuring them as they searched for every ball. To be fair they did keep a good pace. The people behind me also did a good job of not pressuring me. I saw them hit four or five balls on hole 8 so they were entertaining themselves.
Today was a mixed bag with a 34 and mostly 3 putts. I am using the new putting grip. I hope it is correct. The problem today had less to do with aim than ball putt speed with 100% GIR. I hit my 21* 3i out 191 and the H19 out 193. The H19 would have been a lot farther if it hand't curved off to the left as usual. When I do catch that one it sails. Like I did on hole 4 from an up tee and lost the ball in the rough. Must have been a country mile but I will never know. The real excitement was hole 6.
