birdieball

Sometime this spring I bought two 2 packs of birdieballs from EBAY. On a slow day at work I clicked a link or an ad on one of the golf websites I visit. I convinced myself to buy them. Gave one set to Bob and kept the other in my office. For months. I finally took them home and tried them.

Birdieballs are white plastic hollow rings - napkin rings. Some golf fanatic sitting at dinner decided to hit the napkin rings with golf clubs and they flew straight but not very far and made a cool sound. Talk about stumbling onto something.

They are advertised to go about 40 yards. They went from my yard half way into the neighbor's yard so I agree with the distance. They do have a cool sound when hit. I did manage to tree one of mine. That gave me and my youngest a chance to throw things at the tree to try to knock down the birdieball. That in itself was worth the price of the birdie ball.

I'll have to hit these where I have more room to really get a sense of what they can do. Since they aren't technically golfballs I can hit them on the school field.
