2011 Lesson #3

I left work before 2 PM to hit the driving range before my third lesson of the summer. I didn't get as much time at the driving range between lessons as I usually do so I felt the need to cram. Bought a medium bucket and started on my SW then PW then 8i then 6i then 4i. I ran out of time and energy so I left about 20 balls on the driving range line.

Lesson #3 started with the 4i and got the iron tune up I needed. I complained about shot dispersion. Shots are left or right of target but certainly not the big freakin arc to the left that it used to be. Went over the grip, etc. Just reinforcing what he has been saying for all the other lessons. I do feel I am improving. I just wish it would not fade away over time. Stella did get his groove back.

Played with the driver I borrowed from Tim. It is a Nike sumo 9.5* with a regular shaft that was cut down about 1.5" making it a stiff regular. The best I could do was nice distance but off to the right in a straight line. I should have grabbed the 8* - at least it was a real regular flex. Switched it up to the Cobra baffler rail f 3 wood. Jeff liked that club. He also suggested I look into the diablo edge driver in a 10.5 or 11 in a 44" or 45"

Jeff made a comment in passing about me maybe needing a stiff regular flex shaft. As I get more confidence I can swing faster.
