Stooopid card reader wouldnt read my debit card so I had to go to the pro shop. Bought a large bucket of balls to hit at lunch today. Perfect sunny day in the 70s. Ground was still wet from all the rain but not mucky. Only a couple of other people doing the same thing.
Hit a bunch with the GW. Finally grooved it to the point where I had I straight shot. Still pushing it to the left. Moved on to the 5i. Took a while to groove that one. Got it going a bit but a lot more to the left than I would like. A few were good. Either I have something wrong with my swing, likely, or I need less flex on my shafts. I wonder if I am getting too much height. Is that hubris or vanity? I keep trying to find irons with less offset than my xlis but the numbers don't add up that way. Moved on to the 7i and did ok with those. Tried a few with the cobra baffler rail h 5h but quickly gave up on that. Still, a nice day.
Here are my questions for my lesson on Wednesday: 1) how do I tee the ball and hold the club with offset clubs? 2) what am I doing to cause me to hit more on the toe and how do I correct - is it the shaft length? 3) the lefts and how do I cure them - is it my stance?
