April showers

continue into May.

I went to the golf store to see about getting a graphite shaft for my PSP the little one.  I don't want to spend $168 on a graphite version.  After looking at EB*Y I decided to see what the store had for instant gratification.

At the store I found some lead tape.  I pulled out a used G5 stiff shaft to try but some dude got into the hitting bay before me.  I wandered around a bit.  The young dude offered to let me take it to try.  Buying a club was more to cope with the wet day and lack of golf than anything else.  He got busy and the other guy got busy so I put back the lead tape and left for the driving range.  Legends has a covered driving range.

Got a medium bucket.  There was one guy in the middle bay so I went almost to the end.  Started with the PW and moved on to the 7i and 5i and then hybird.  I like hitting off mats.  The PW shots had some altitude on them and not much bounce or roll when they landed.  They went out to the white marker.  The 7i was nice and the 5i was a lot of fun.  Good distance and altitude.  Enough to get caught in the wind and blown off course.  Once in a while a ball would be impervious to the wind and go really straight.  The wind was strong enough to knock most shots off course.  The hybrid (5h?) was a bit of a struggle.  I did manage to tee some in the right spot and get pretty straight and pretty far.  This is the next club in my progression.

I still struggle with off set. Do I set up so that the shaft is striaght and the club face is crooked because of the offset or do I setup with the shaft at an angle and the clubface is straight behind the ball?
