Went out to Legends at lunch today to see if they found my watch. Will had it. I am glad I didn't have to tell the wife that I lost the watch and where I lost it (7th hole on the course).
I played 7 holes before I ran out of time. It was getting cloudy and there were some drops. I think I also heard some thunder. Turned in a 39 by assuming a bogie on each of the last two holes. Putting was off. It was a bit windy. Probably would have been better off hitting balls at the driving range.
I have been thinking about the clubs I carry to the driving range and to Legends. I have the GW, 9i, 7i, 5i, 5W, chipper, and putter for 7 clubs. The grip on my putter makes it a pain to get the putter out of the tube. I would get more room for the grip if I cut out the club tube. On this course I wish for wedges a bit more. Maybe I will go GW, PW, 9i, 7i, 5i, 5W, and putter. I like the chipper but not the grip on it.
