Hit a medium bucket of balls at the driving range today. Nice sunny and warm day but a bit of wind. Only one other person on the range with me. He was working on the driver. I would hear bang, zzzzzth. Thud. He would hit a tee shot straight into the grass. The ball would stop about 50' or less in the tall range grass. The thud was him slamming his driver clubhead into the ground. Brother I can feel your pain.
Spent a lot of time and balls hitting the PSP. Mostly decent shots but a few head scratchers. The clubhead is the size of the ball so being off slightly has more negative impact on the shot than my XLI irons. I should check to see if this comes in graphite.
Hit a lot of balls with the 5W. I choked down on it, gripping near the bottom of the grip ratther than near the but. A few shots worked by doing that. I also moved the ball closer to my left foot. Maybe too far. I will have to pursue this.
Finished the last few wtih my 5i. A couple of nice shots. Sometimes I can tell when a shot will work or be a flub.
