Called in golf today. Temps were between 70 and 80 with little or no breeze. Dropped the kids off at school and met my wife for breakfast before playing golf.
Hit half a medium bucket of balls at Legends before playing 9 there. I really hit the cleveland mashie hybrid well today. Not sure what made it work today.
I Turned in a 44. Putting was close but no cigar. I hit a beautiful 5W shot on hole 7 for 192 to the middle of the fairway. My next shot was off the green but not too bad. On hole 9 I hit the flag with my tee shot. It clanked and went about 12' to the right. Probably a good thing that it hit the flag or it would have gone too far. I put two in the water on hole 4. I had a couple of other shots that went crazy distances.
After that round I stopped at the golf store to see if they had the interflexx HL shaft I have in my 5W. They don't but will reshaft my clubs if I can find some.
Played 18 at Stone Creek. Started around 11 AM. There was a single ahead of me. Glad I didn't pair up with him as he seemed way into reading and looking and reading again. The two of us eventually caught up with a 4 some and a pair caught up with me near the end so the whole round took 3.5 hours. Kind of a long time but who cares? I was out on the best day ever and not at work and playing golf.
Turned in a 99 playing from the whites. Chipping and putting was pretty good. I was pretty good off the tee with my 3W and even 5W. 3W seemed to be around 190 and 5W was not far off that. Which is why I want the same shaft in my 3W that I have in the 5W. Had some interesting fun on some hill tops.
Hit the golf store again for more grips.
Drank a beer with the neighbors and picked up the kids.
