Hit the driving range today at lunch for a medium bucket. Nice day. Warmer than I thought. I took PSP, SW, 9i, 7i, 5i, & 5W. Hit about 8 balls each and an extra bunch on the 5W off the tee.
The PSP is tough. The clubhead is the size of the golfball. Works on hitting the sweetspot. The rest of the clubs were ok.
Based on that 7.5 minutes in the back room of the store I am abandoning the driver, 3W and all but one of my 5W. I'm getting a 7W (22*) to match my hybrid. It is a ladies flex and loft so I also bought a shaft puller. I'll pull the ladies and put my interflexx shaft in it. He says I am crowding in on my body with my swing because the shaft is too long. Makes sense.
I am working on holding the club out from my body a bit more. The dude at the golfstore told me that was what he thought my problem with the fairway woods really is.
Not sure I really need to hold the irons away from my body when I swing. I did catch enough nice shots to make the session enjoyable.
