driving range

The boys and I hit the driving range today around noon. It was sunny but windy. Pretty cold in the wind. Grabbed a medium bucket and a small bucket and away we went. Both boys were real troopers about the wind and the temp. It just wasn't as warm as I had hoped. We should have waited until later in the day when the wind died a bit.

Nicholas hit mostly his driver. This one we borrowed from Legends last year and haven't returned. He did really well with it. I'm not sure how much he was aiming at anything but some of his shots seemed to be straight and past the third distance marker pole.

Garrett hit his driver most of the time too. It is too short for him. He didn't want to hit his brother's older and shorter driver because it is right handed. I think Garrett wants to play golf as a lefty. There is atleast one new club for Garrett this year.

For me I hit the 5i most of the time. I did hit the driver and 3W a couple of times. The first one or two 3W shots were nice, maybe in the 180-200 yard range. Then they started peeling off to the left. Same with the driver. When I hit the 5i with a good swing and get it be more straight than not I don't have the distance on it. I'll get there. I'm working on a lean and not a squat. I wonder where the power is being lost?
