I finished the Dr as quickly as I figured and still didn't want to go to work. Made the rounds of the golf stores and still had way too much time left before I had to relieve the babysitter. I found myself out at Legends thinking I would hit the driving range. Instead I played 9. I ended up behind a twosome who I passed (with permission) by skipping them on 6 and playing 7. I managed to entertain myself on all the other holes but I was beginning to run out of time.
I started the round well and ended it well but the middle was not so good, turning in a 48 or something. Still it was a nice day but close to 100* out. Made it home to relieve the babysitter a few minutes ahead of schedule.
One of the stores I visited is a new golf store. It is a chain/franchise. The shop is small and most of it is taken up with a bay for lessons, club fitting, etc. Not a lot of stock but enough. They offer the club fitting/bag analysis that none of the other stores offer or package. My bag assessment is on Tuesday. I believe this is to assess and fix the clubs I have in the bag. I thought it odd that they didn't mess with the putter.
If this place works out I saved myself a trip up north to Chicago. We'll see.
