small bucket

Hit a small bucket at the driving range at lunch today. I was a little pressed for time after stopping for lunch and at the cigar store to get a donation for the golf outing tomorrow. The owner donated a box of cigars and a fancy ashtray. Pretty cool.

At the range I tried to create some sort of preshot routine before each ball. That got old but I did manage to take a practice swing a couple of times. I still skimped on aiming. The driver and woods peeled off to the left and right as normal but there were a few nice and straight down the center.

I'm still chunking the ground with the irons hitting dirt rather than ball. To me that is hitting it fat. Distance and direction are ok at best on these fat shots but when I hit all ball it scoops and has high loft but not much distance. I think I am either teeing the ball too far forward or putting too much space between the ball and my club when addressing the ball.
