Instead of kidney stone surgery I passed the stone yesterday but kept my scheduled day off from work. I dropped the kids off at school and drove right to Stone Creek golf course. I overheard the 8:30 tee time people check in so I fiddled about so I would come out after them. What a mistake. I got to the tee box to tee off at 8:45. They waved me through on the fourth hole.
I turned in a 56 on the front nine and a 70 on the back. Driving started to desert me and so did putting. Not sure if it was the call from the wife acting all astonished that I was golfing. Maybe it was the fact that I wasn't behind the two slow golfers. Or fatigue. I caught a 4 some around 15 and went around them on 16 or 17. I was over it.
I did have some nice drives and the mashie really worked out of the rough. Still it was a nice warm late August day and I wasn't in the middle of having a tube and drill pushed through mr happy.
