Called in golf today. Said I had a sick kid. Dropped the kid off at school and played 9 at Legends and then another 9 there too. First time around there was a single ahead of me and a single behind me. There may have been other ahead of that but I didn't look ahead that far. The three singles kept pretty much the same pace so there were no issues. The single behind me was hitting further than me and I thought I was having a wheaties type day. I crushed a 3i 196 yards for my own personal gps measured best.
The single ahead of me looped around again too so I went inside and got a drink to let him get a couple of holes ahead of me. The early morning traffic thinned and the lunch-ish traffic wasn't at the course yet. The pro and the driving range were busy. I never saw anyone on the hole ahead of me or behind me.
I could tell I was tired for much of the 2nd round. Distance wasn't there and what reduction in the big arc to the left simply went away. Putting was off too. But it was a good round. Just me and some bugs and the smell of the weed killer and/or fertilizer they put down the day before.
I did get 4 of my clubs regripped with the Winn W5 grip I like. Now I need to bend the chipper a bit and I should be good to go. At this point I am leaning towards not getting any new clubs and toughing it out with the driver I have and the 3W I have unless either or both sell at the garage sale on Saturday. I will get a Ping K15 5W and maybe 3W if I can get to the Ping van fitting on June 7th.
I did like the Nike CPR hybrid. I'll have to keep my eye out for more of those.
